Clatter Valley In The News

Among the things that have been occupying my time of late are some stories I've done for our local paper, the Hartford Courant. I forgot to post about them. I did one on sheds, and another on using veggies in ornamental gardens.

I really love your shed and the colors you've painted the trim. Funny, I had begun painting my old 50's metal outdoor furniture the same colors. Now I know for certain that they'll look good together.

I so enjoyed reading your article on Sheds in the Courant Steve. I think that is the name of the paper. Beautifully written and full of great ideas. I would be more for the simple rustic. The shed on my property is nearly falling down, alas! I drool when I look at yours. Someday ... and no electricity for me.

Jill-O--Those are easy colors--how far wrong can you go with blue? Chartreuse is a cinch, though finding exactly the right hue can be very difficult. And pink? Well I just had to liven things up Caribbean style.

Carol--Thanks for hopping over to the Courant. It was a fun story to write. I like my shed too-no elec for me!-though it does house alot of wasps in summer. We also have a sleeping loft in there, though it's hardly used for anything more than a unique view of the garden. The shed is tiny--the interior is only 12x8.
